The House at Serenity Pointe

The House at Serenity Pointe is a rural, faith-based recovery program for women struggling with chemical dependency, abuse, homelessness, and other life-disrupting issues.

Who would benefit from the program?
The House at Serenity Pointe welcomes women who are ready to kick their addictions, leave behind abusive relationships, stay out of jail, find their personal and financial independence, rediscover hope, and live meaningful lives.

What will residents learn?
The program includes training in essential life skills such as anger management, parenting, financial management, and social skills. Those struggling with addiction will begin a 12-step program. All residents will have access to personal and addiction counseling.

Can a woman bring her children with her?
A mother cannot give her children the parenting they deserve until she has straightened out her own life. Change takes tremendous discipline. To succeed, she must be completely focused on herself. For this reason, we do not allow mothers to bring their children with them. However, once a resident has made significant progress, we can begin to arrange visits.

What’s the admissions process?
When a woman is ready to change, she must be the one to make the call. We’ll discuss her circumstances and what our program can offer her. If we agree that Serenity Pointe might be right for her, we will ask her to fill out an application. Once she returns that application to us, we will review it and schedule an in-person interview with her. If she and we agree that she is ready for Serenity Pointe, we will set an admission date and arrange her transportation.
