Creating Affordable
Rural Housing

One of the biggest challenges we face is the lack of decent, affordable housing in the counties we serve.

Thanks to a grant from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, Serenity Pointe is tackling this issue head-on.

We are purchasing and rehabilitating foreclosed homes as affordable rental properties.

Once completed, these homes will be available to low-income families.

What do you do when you find yourself with nowhere to go and no one to turn to?

For many rural Americans, this nightmare looms large. Jobs are scarce. Wages are low. There's not enough affordable housing to go around.

Others are facing domestic violence, re-entering society after incarceration, struggling with an addiction, or trying to get back on their feet after a divorce.

Serenity Pointe provides a hand-up, not a hand-out, to families and individuals who need shelter from the storms of life. We can:

  • Provide temporary emergency housing
  • Offer food, clothing, and other essentials
  • Arrange transportation to out-of-town family
  • Help people find and move into affordable, permanent housing
  • Help people get access public assistance
  • Provide training in financial management and other life skills

We rely heavily on the generosity of local congregations, families, businesses, and individuals to help us provide these services. Your donation makes a real difference in someone's life - we don't pay staff with your gifts!

Please visit our donations page to find out how you can help us keep the doors of our ministry open to those in need.
The House at Serenity Pointe
Faith-Based Life Recovery for Women

Some people need more than a hand-up. Their lives have been so disrupted by addiction, abuse, incarceration, and poverty that they have lost the ability to manage their everday responsibilities, homes, and families.

The House at Serenity Pointe is a faith-based, residential program for women who are ready to take responsibility and change their lives, once and for all. Click here for more information.

Serenity Pointe also has strong relationships with other recovery programs in the area that serve men and those with special needs. We've helped dozens of people get admitted to the right program. We can offer a new beginning to just about anyone who's truly ready for change.
